SERC undertakes independent research analysis on socio-economic, including produces position papers; contemporary publications, as well as prepares policy recommendation papers and consultative responses. It also undertakes research collaboration with ACCCIM and other institutions on major current issues in the formulation of socio-economic policies in Malaysia.

Requirements

  1. Currently pursuing Bachelor’s / Master Degree in economics or business related studies
  2. A strong interest in socio-economic and business research
  3. Good command in both written and spoken English, and Mandarin will be an added advantage
  4. Proficiency in some Microsoft Office’s applications like Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint, and statistical software like, SPSS or E-Views.

Major Duties

  1. Collecting data and information related to research topics;
  2. Compiling past research materials and bibliographies, and summarizing the past research works;
  3. Proof reading and translation from English to Chinese;
  4. Assist in writing section of the reports or working papers, upon request;
  5. Updating statistics database, and preparing PowerPoint presentations; and
  6. General Administrative Tasks
