Tan Sri Dato' Low Kian Chuan was appointed as SERC Chairman in 2021. He is the Executive Chairman of Low Fatt Wood Industries Sdn. Bhd. and has over 36 years of exposure to the integrated wood processing industry. Tan Sri Low also serves as the Independent Director of Bank of China (Malaysia) Berhad since 2017.Currently, Tan Sri Low is the President of The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), and Terengganu Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCCI). He is also actively involved in several Government Councils and Boards, including the appointment as Member of the Economic Action Council (EAC) and Consultative Council on Foreign Policy (CCFP).

Tan Sri William Cheng Heng Jem was appointed to SERC Board of Directors since 19 October 2010.Tan Sri William Cheng is Executive Chairman of Lion Group of Companies with interests in retail, branding, property development and management, steel, mining, credit financing and money lending services, agriculture and computer industries. The Group has three public listed companies in Malaysia, two in Singapore and one in Hong Kong. He is Life Honorary President of ACCCIM and KLSCCCI. He is also President of Malaysia Steel Association (MSA) and Malaysia Retailers Association (MRA).

Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap (PSM, PJN, AMN) was appointed to SERC Board of Directors since 2011. He is the founder and Executive Chairman of Sunsuria Group.He graduated from University of Malaya with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. From such humble beginnings, Tan Sri Ter has carefully nurtured Sunsuria Berhad into an award-winning public-listed company with businesses in property development, integrated healthcare, digital development, education, construction, landscaping and nursery, food and beverages, retail, trading and other complementary businesses.
Tan Sri Ter is extremely active in the business community as well as a firm believer and supporter of National Unity. Tan Sri Ter was the President of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) (2016-2021), The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) (2015-2021), and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuala Lumpur & Selangor (KLSCCCI) (2012-2021). In 2016, Tan Sri Ter was named the National Unity Ambassador by the Department of National Unity and Integration (JPNIN).
For his achievements in the business world, Tan Sri Ter won The Edge Malaysia Outstanding Property Entrepreneurs Award in 2017, the Sin Chew Business Excellence Award – Business Excellence Person of the Year in 2014, as well as the Outstanding Malaysian Hokkien Award by the Federation of Hokkien Associations of Malaysia twice in 2008 and 2017 respectively.
In 2021, Tan Sri Ter was appointed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, King of Malaysia, as a member of the Independent Special Committee on Malaysia Emergency 2021. In addition, Tan Sri Ter is also the member of numerous government councils:
- Member of The Shared Prosperity Action Council (MKTB) 2021 (appointed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia)
- Member of the Trade and Industry Advisory Council (TIAC) since 2019
- Member of the Consultative Council on Safety and Public Order, Ministry of Home Affairs (MAKKKA) since 2020

Tan Sri Datuk Seri Saw Choo Boon was appointed as SERC Director since 22 April 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Malaya. He joined Shell in 1970 and served in Singapore and Netherlands before managing companies and businesses in Malaysia, regionally and globally. He was appointed as the Chairman of Shell Malaysia and retired in 2010 after 40 years of service.Currently, Tan Sri Saw is Chairman of Sentral REIT Sdn Bhd and Independent Non-Executive of Wah Seong Corporation Bhd.

Datuk Ng Yih Pyng was appointed as the Member of SERC Board of Directors in 2021. He is the Group Managing Director of Tomei Consolidated Berhad, an integrated manufacturer of gold and jewellery in Malaysia.Datuk Ng is currently the Advisor for the Federation of Goldsmiths and Jewellers Association of Malaysia. He is the President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Kuala Lumpur & Selangor (KLSCCCI) and the Deputy President of The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM). He is also the Vice President for The National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM).

Dato’ Tan Tian Meng is appointed as SERC Director in the year 2019. He holds an Honours of Bachelor of Civil Engineering from University of Malaya.Dato’ Tan Tian Meng has over 30 years’ experience and professional practice careers in industries related to construction and property development. He holds a position of CEO in Citic Sunsuria Sdn Bhd, a joint venture vehicle of Citic Construction Co. Ltd., a tier one wholly owned subsidiary of Citic Limited, a Fortune Global 500 Company and Sunsuria Builders Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sunsuria Berhad.
Dato’ Tan Tian Meng is a passionate leader with long track of record of successfully management and involvement in National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia as Exco Member, Council Member and Chairman for One Belt One Road (OBOR) Committee, Secretary General for The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Malaysia since year 2019 and Advisor for several committees in Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuala Lumpur & Selangor (KLSCCCI).
